Multi-Functional Classroom
Thornbury 2010
Designed as a viable alternative to the standard portable, the Multifunctional classroom uses locally sourced, sustainable materials and is constructed without the use of any metal framing. The entire project was completed in 3 months, from its tender to the final finishes. It is enjoyed by year 7 & 8 students at Thornbury High school, operating comfortably without heating or cooling. Setting a precedent for the future of school buildings, this model can be adopted to fit a multitude of requirements in any school setting.
