One of the most consistent parts of our practice over the past two decades has been sharing it – openly, and with anyone who’s curious.

Through design tours, Sustainable House Day open houses, and community events, we’ve walked people through our projects and talked honestly about outcomes: what performed beyond expectations, what we refined, and what we learned along the way.

The good news for anyone building or renovating today? The availability of high-quality, healthy, and sustainable materials and systems has genuinely matured. Concepts like Passive House (a rigorous international standard for ultra-low energy buildings that prioritises comfort and air quality alongside efficiency), passive solar design, biophilic design, and permaculture-informed thinking are no longer niche – and the products to support them are increasingly accessible.

  • The pillars we come back to consistently:
  • Passive House and passive solar principles
  • Biophilic design
  • Permaculture thinking applied to the site and landscape
