Envelope

“Envelope: Interpretations of a design practice engaged in sustainability and fashion” Anthea van Kopplen’s thesis exhibition is now on at the RMIT Design Hub.  EME’s collaboration with fashion designer over the past decade has contributed to this exhibition, we designed the architectural structure Envelope.  Constructed out of renewable plantation quality hoop pine and carefully designed for lightness and layman build; responding to key brief considerations, sustainability, and that it could be constructed and transported easily by Anthea, her friend and children.

The Envelope garment moves from the body to the structure, a dynamic interplay between form and function.
