MM House on Sustainable House Day 2017
In a beautiful sunny day in Northcote, around 240 people visited our (almost) finished MM House on Sustainable House Day.
From 10 in the morning to 4 in the afternoon, we enjoyed so much welcoming the lovely visitors and talking about the MM house design principles.
During the tours Luke explained the great holistic design produced and applied at MM House, involving energy rating, thermal mass, insulation, permaculture, etc.
Luke welcoming the great crowd that was very interested in sustainable design, involving rammed earth walls as thermal mass, recycled foundations from the previous existing house and sustainable materials such as timber, among other strategies.
Enjoying a beautiful spring day, Luke showed the garden’s irrigation channel, rainwater use, vegetables garden and talked about the house possible transformations in the future.

The previous morning, Luke was interviewed on Saturday Breakfast with Hilary Harper on ABC Radio Melbourne (min 1:31:15) and Sky News Real Estate, about Sustainable House Day 2017.
