Challenges: 13 spacious apartments on a tight site with neighbours to the west and south, not overshadowing/overlooking neighbours, north access to all apartment living spaces
Building Star Rating: average 8 stars
Features: sloped south-west zinc roof/wall as a creative response to rescode requirements, angled walls and voids to allow north solar access to all apartment living areas, generous outdoor spaces to all apartments varying from 7.3m2 to 48.9m2, communal walkways with planters as balustrade
Water Saving: water tanks in basement for garden irrigation and toilet flushing. The entire roof system of this design is based around the collection and harvesting
of water providing one hundred percent retention and reuse.
